Sometimes my cat, "YooHoo" bites or licks her nails. There are some reasons why she show that kind of weird behaviors. One of the reason is that it's time to clip her nails. Cats habitually scratch something to trim their nails (Yes! they care their nails themselves). But, sometime their nails are not trimmed well enough. In this case, they bites or licks their nails. It's a sign that they are in need of a trim. Secondly, just like human, when cats are anxious or mentally unstable they bite their nails. Other than these two reasons, there might be other reasons that cause the weird behaviors.
